With nearly two decades of experience in yoga and movement therapy, Zahra is a certified expert in multiple disciplines, specializing in back and neck injuries and the deeper philosophy of yoga. Her journey began in December 2006 when she took her first yoga class, igniting a lifelong passion for the practice.
In 2011, she became a Certified Bikram Yoga Teacher, mastering the renowned 26-posture sequence designed to enhance strength, flexibility, and mental focus. Seeking to expand her expertise, she completed a 200-hour JM Vinyasa Certification in 2015, deepening her understanding of fluid movement and breathwork.
Her commitment to holistic fitness led her to earn a Hot Inferno Pilates Certification in 2016, a high-intensity, low-impact workout that strengthens the core and improves endurance. In 2017, she pursued a Yin Yoga Certification, learning the art of deep tissue release and mindfulness through long-held postures.
In 2019, she advanced her practice with the Ghosh 84 Series, a rigorous sequence rooted in the lineage of Bishnu Ghosh, emphasizing strength, balance, and breath control.
Beyond certifications, Zahra ran a Hot Yoga studio for five years, building a thriving community of practitioners and fostering an environment where students could grow in strength and flexibility. Additionally, she has attended, organized, and taught retreats all over the world, creating immersive experiences that deepen students' understanding of yoga and movement.
Her teaching philosophy is inspired by the transformative power of yoga, blending discipline with creativity. She has worked with high-profile clients, including Lady Gaga, whom she taught in private sessions—guiding the pop icon through her practice with expertise and authority.
Whether guiding students through therapeutic sequences for spinal health or exploring the depths of yoga theory, Zahra is dedicated to helping others unlock their potential through movement, breath, and mindfulness.
